Common Intake Assessment and Referral (CIAR)
In January 2007, HSMP implemented the first release of CIAR to allow agency workers to conduct a screening interview and perform detailed assessments of a family or individual to determine potential eligibility for various District assistance programs. In future releases, assessments will be conducted through a common caseworker user interface in accordance with the rules and practices of each specific agency. Additionally, electronic notifications will be sent to the agency systems that support the programs selected for the client.

Reporting/Business Intelligence (BI)
BI provides the capability to generate aggregate reports from the integrated, matched and reconciled data received from participating agencies and Safe Passages. BI also provides consulting services to various human and social services agencies regarding the design and implementation of an agency's data warehouse and reporting needs. Additionally, HSMP BI can facilitate the sharing of cross-agency data within each agency’s own data warehouse.

DHS IMA Automated Client Eligibility Determination System (ACEDS)
HSMP provides technical guidance and support to the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Income Maintenance Administration (IMA) in undertaking a complete review of the functionality of ACEDS and its technical environment.

HSMP Technical Architecture Oversight
HSMP provides technical architecture oversight and design support for agency program implementations of new systems.

Secure Authenticated Single Sign-on External Access to the Intranet Applications
HSMP has created a secure infrastructure to enable DC government employees to use the Intranet to access human services applications from external locations, such as homes, hospitals, clinics, and courts. The infrastructure also enables controlled access by external service providers. HSMP provides guidance and support regarding single sign-on when Intranet applications are accessed by external users.

DOH APRA Client Information System (ACIS)
In 2004 the Department of Health (DOH) Addiction Prevention and Recovery Administration (APRA) requested that HSMP provide IT support with the selection and implementation strategy to replace the existing AS/400 Client Data System with a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) client information system. In June 2005 HSMP and APRA deployed the APRA Client Information System (ACIS) to the Assessment and Referral Center (ARC). This application enabled the ARC to streamline its business workflow and automate intake, assessment and referral processes. HSMP continues to provide upgrades and user enhancement support.

DCOA Client Management System (CMS)
In 2005 the DC Office on Aging (DCOA) requested that HSMP stabilize the Georgetown University Client Service Information System (CSIS) and manage the CSIS modernization effort. The Georgetown University CSIS was stabilized and moved to a secure OCTO data center. HSMP continues to provide procurement oversight to ensure DCOA selects a qualified vendor to implement the CSIS replacement system.

DYRS Juvenile Case Management System (JCMS)
The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) has recently made significant changes to its service delivery model. HSMP continues to work with DYRS subject matter experts to refine existing business processes and identify new business processes to support the JIMS replacement project. DYRS asked HSMP to manage the COTS selection and implementation of the JIMS replacement system.

DMH System of Care
The Human Services Modernization Program (HSMP) is working with the System of Care (SOC) team at the Department of Mental Health (DMH) to develop a collaboration tool to manage activities relative to the System of Care Process that is coordinated by DMH. This web-based tool will track the events and outcomes for consumers where multiple internal and external resources participate. With the initial release of the application, users will be able to: collect referral information, plan family team conferences (FTC), conduct FTC meetings, create recommendations and action plans, perform FTC follow-up, and conduct system administration.
