The Government of the District of Columbia (DC) GIS’s Address Standards document has been developed to describe the addressing standards used for the Master Address Repository (MAR).  The MAR is DC Government’s official address database and is widely within the government.   DC GIS, which is part of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), is primarily responsible for maintaining the MAR.
