Town Hall: How to Build the City of the Future
Our closing town hall puts Smart Cities in context of local government infrastructure and the future of American Cities. Cities are the backbone of American innovation and enterprise. More than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas, with projections showing that number will only increase. Managing these urban areas, planning for the future of these cities, and building strong, vibrant economies is the challenge facing mayors, city planners, private enterprise leaders, and thought leaders. Using a town hall format, Bloomberg will feature a key thought leader to facilitate a conversation with leading city officials considering this future. The town hall will highlight the opportunities and concerns these leaders face and present a unique opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions and raise ideas.
