The Request for Applications (RFA) will be released on Monday, August 20, 2012 and the deadline for submission is Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 5 pm (EDT).

Washington, DC - Today, the DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) released a Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA), accessible through the DC Broadband Education, Training, and Adoption (DC-BETA) project. The Request for Applications (RFA) will be released on Monday, August 20, 2012 and the deadline for submission is Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 5 pm (EDT).

The DC-BETA subgrant will support OCTO’s Digital Inclusion Initiative - also known as Connect.DC - by funding projects aimed at increasing Internet usage and adoption among the District’s underserved populations where broadband technology has been underutilized. OCTO seeks applicants that provide creative and strategic solutions to increase sustainable broadband adoption among the small business community.  DC-BETA is made possible by the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
